Omori Castle is a small castle, but it is made of very fine workmanship. The moat which surrounds the entire is castle is exceptional.
It is said that the castle was built by Okumura Motohiro, a vassal of Toki Mikawa-mori and son of Okumura Motonobu. It was attacked by Mori Nagayoshi, the lord of Mino Kaneyama castle, and destroyed. Since the location of the castle was very important, it is likely that at the time of the Battle of Komaki and Nagakute, it was repaired in order to reinforce the southern side of Mino Kaneyama Castle.
