The Murohara Castle Ruins are thought to have been the annex of Mino Kaneyama Castle.
It is a castle located behind Myochi temple on the peak of a mountain. Kani Rokurozaemon Hideyuki was the lord of the castle During the Battle of Komaki and Nagakute, Hideyuki and his son Moriyuki went to the aid of Mori Nagayoshi, the lord of Mino Kaneyama castle. However, it is said that because Hideyuki was killed by Tokugawa, Moriyuki set fire to the castle and destroyed it.
